About the speaker:
I am Lilla Balatonyi, I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in 2018. After that, I started working as a clinical veterinarian in a small animal clinic in PĂ©cs, Hungary, taking care of dogs and cats. During these years, it occurred to me that, in addition to my medical work, it would be very useful to produce practical information leaflets for owners that would reach a wider audience.
This led to my books for children on responsible pet ownership and later to a series of animal health webinars and lectures on topics such as external and internal parasites, common poisonings and how to make a dog-safe home.
Three years ago, a reactive shelter dog, Sidney, became part of my life, and since then, it has been especially important for me to learn more about – and teach – about dogs’ fear reactions, reactivity, and anxiety-related behavioural disorders.
