Finding the ideal dog that fits perfectly into your life is not an easy task. Current trends, media portrayals, and past experiences can influence our desired traits just as much as family circumstances or future plans with our new companions.
But are there traits and characteristics that are inherently tied to a specific breed and not just shaped by upbringing?
Or is it true that any dog can take on any role?
Could the same dog be both a world-class athlete and a couch potato?
How and why did dog breeds even come into existence?
This webinar aims to assist those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the potential differences between dog breeds. Whether you are searching for your future companion or want to make an informed, lifelong decision, this presentation will provide valuable insights.

About the speaker:
I am Lilla Balatonyi, I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in 2018. After that, I started working as a clinical veterinarian in a small animal clinic in Pécs, Hungary, taking care of dogs and cats. During these years, it occurred to me that, in addition to my medical work, it would be very useful to produce practical information leaflets for owners that would reach a wider audience.
This led to my books for children on responsible pet ownership and later to a series of animal health webinars and lectures on topics such as external and internal parasites, common poisonings and how to make a dog-safe home.
Three years ago, a reactive shelter dog, Sidney, became part of my life, and since then, it has been especially important for me to learn more about – and teach – about dogs’ fear reactions, reactivity, and anxiety-related behavioural disorders.
